I saw a video on social not long ago that said, “There is a bird, somewhere, in a white person’s home.”
Not a real bird, but decor. Sculptures. Figurines. Paintings. Trinkets. And honestly? I laughed out loud, because… how true is that?
Think about your house for a second.
Where is your bird?
Is it a bird… or a duck?
A chicken?
Do you have a beachy room with seagulls?
A wire chicken that holds fruit or veggies?
A duck decoy tucked into an office or bookshelf?
Are you a Jeep driver or a cruiser? Do you participate in the great duck exchanges that come with those lifestyles? (I cruise, and yes, I have ducks everywhere in my office.)
Are you a Parrot Head? (Guilty as charged. I love Jimmy Buffett and miss him daily.) I also love Flamingo's and feel they fit that vibe, so they are all over in my house.
Do you hunt and keep duck decoys as a symbol of that love?
I drink out of Vintage Peanuts Glasses, so Woodstock is generally on my desk. Holding my drink obsessions
The list goes on and on.
So now that you’re thinking about birds -- ducks, chickens, waterfowl of all kinds -- I want you to really think about it:
How many live in your home?
Where do they live?
On what surface?
In which room?
These are just a few of mine, and trust me, there are many more. We sell them, after all. Our shop has no fewer than 50 birds for sale at any given time, probably more. 😂
Apparently, we’re just helping birds find their forever homes. 🐦💛
Here are my drink obsessions: (Frostie Blue Cream Soda, Warped Wing Cherry Vanilla, or Crystal Light Wild Strawberry).
Here's a few birds from my own home! There are more
