Everyday Vintage: Decorating, Dining, and Working with the Past

If you love vintage like I do, chances are you don’t just collect it—you use it.

Sure, some pieces are meant to be admired behind glass or perched safely on a shelf, but for me? Vintage is a part of my everyday life. I live with it, I enjoy it, and yes—I “play” with it.

Take my drinking glasses, for example. I sip from 1970s Snoopy McDonald’s glasses like they’re the height of modern glassware (and honestly, they kind of are). If you ever catch me live selling, ask to see my glass. I promise it will be vintage!
My dinnerware? A cheerful mix of Fiestaware, both vintage and modern—because life’s too short for boring dishes.

Open my cupboards and you’ll find a full set of pink Pyrex Gooseberry Cinderella bowls, ready for mixing, serving, or just being their fabulous selves, not to mention some vintage Corningware here and there.

And the furniture? That’s vintage too. I work every day at an old desk, flanked by a well-worn (but gorgeous) leather desk chair. My dining table came into my life well before I was a kid—and while the squeaky chairs might drive me a little nuts, the charm and history they carry are irreplaceable.

Around the house, vintage makes its presence known in little touches—wall art, tablecloths, bedding, and even a few creaky antiques that have earned their quirks.

So now I want to know…
Do you use your vintage treasures in everyday life? Or do you admire them from afar, keeping them safe and sound?
However you love your vintage, there’s no wrong way to enjoy it.
