Yippee, It's the Holiday Season: A Time for Joy, Games, and Family Traditions!"

Our Grinchy Elf is ready for a Reindeer ride!I absolutely adore the holidays – all of them, throughout the year. But there's something extra magical about the Christmas season. As the days shorten, our spirits don't just endure; they soar, illuminated by the twinkling lights and vibrant decorations that brighten our homes and hearts. Yet, it's more than just the festive ambiance – it's about crafting unforgettable memories.

Imagine the scent of freshly baked cookies wafting through the air, the joy of decorating a Christmas tree, or the warmth of sharing a steaming cup of cocoa with someone special. The holiday season is a paradox; it's about slowing down in the midst of our hustle, cherishing moments of joy, and embracing our loved ones a little tighter.

In my family, the holidays are synonymous with smiles and laughter. One of our cherished traditions, predating the arrival of grandchildren, is our Christmas Eve gathering, fondly dubbed the "Reindeer Games." What are these games, you ask? Oh, they're a delightful mix of whimsy and fun! Picture this: goofy games, a bounty of gifts (courtesy of yours truly), a saran-wrap ball teeming with treats and lottery tickets, Christmas Trivia, word games, and the night always ends with uproarious laughter during a game of Cards Against Humanity.

The Stockings are Hung by the Chimney

This night is all about fun, food, and making memories. Now, with the little ones joining in, we've added more kid-friendly games, ensuring joy for all ages. Everyone's invited to this festive extravaganza, and this year, we're lucky to host it on the 23rd, since Christmas is on a Monday.

Another tradition we hold dear is the Chinese Gift Exchange on Christmas Day for the adults. We even include family members who can't be there in person via video calls! With a gift budget of $25-$30, everyone vies to bring the most sought-after gift – it's a fun and friendly competition.

Holiday traditions, whether boisterous or cozy, add a special flavor to our gatherings. They're the moments we look forward to all year, even if we playfully groan about them. Deep down, we're all eagerly anticipating these joyful celebrations.
