Repurposed Flat File Concave Scraper Gouge Woodworking Tool 18.25" Vintage

Unusual handmade scraper or gouge believed to have been fashioned from a repurposed flat metal file. The original file teeth remain visible, while the working end has been shaped into a rounded, shallow concave profile. It may have been used for woodworking, leatherworking, hollowing channels, or scraping curved surfaces.

The tool measures approximately 18.25" long overall and has a long turned wooden handle. No maker's marks were found.

Good used condition with surface rust, oxidation, scratches, and age-related wear. The wooden handle has splitting and losses near the blade opening.
